Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered a closing address at the 39th Asia-Pacific Roundtable, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, highlighting the “Power of ASEAN Conviction” in navigating an increasingly complex regional and global landscape. Dr. Kao underscored ASEAN’s enduring commitment to advancing peace, prosperity, a sustainable planet, people-centred development, meaningful partnerships, as well as future potentials and possibilities. Dr. Kao reaffirmed the importance of ASEAN centrality, unity, inclusivity, and collective action in shaping a stable, resilient and prosperous region. He also commended the ASEAN-Institutes of Strategic and International Studies (ASEAN-ISIS) network for its longstanding contribution to strategic dialogue and regional cooperation.
