On 7 February 2026, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, spoke at the Warwick Economic Summit 2026 – the largest student-run academic conference in Europe. He shared ASEAN’s journey as a community built on peace, security, prosperity, and people-centred approach, increasingly shaped by sustainability and open partnerships. He further highlighted how ASEAN has turned diversity into strength through cooperation. Dr. Kao also engaged with ASEAN students at the University of Warwick, reaffirming the important role of youth in shaping ASEAN’s future.
